Narciso Ferreira

Researcher at LNEG – National Energy and Geology Laboratory.

Narciso Ferreira holds a degree in Geology (1980) from the University of Oporto, and started his work as a geologist of mining exploration of Sn/W, in the mines of the Bragança region. In 1983 he started activities of geological mapping at the Geological Survey of Portugal. The institution changed its name several times, LNEG at the present, but always preserved the competencies of the Geological Survey. In his work, he develops geological studies with the publication of geological maps at different scales. Also works with geochronology, geological heritage and Environmental Impact Studies. He has retired from public service since 2022.
